JOB DESCRIPTION

EMPLOYER: Delta Dental of California

TITLE:Senior Systems Analyst

Location: 1333 Broadway, #800, Oakland, CA 94612; Must live within reasonable commuting distance from Oakland, CA office and able to appear in office as required.

Salary: $170,955 /yr - $175,955 /yr

Job Description: Tests, maintains, and monitors computer systems. Perform Unit Testing, Segment Testing, Performance Testing and Support End to End testing. Confers with clients and interprets business requirements to derive technical solution via systems analysis, design, and prototyping. Determines best business/technical solutions to meet client needs ensuring the ability to meet users' implementation time frames. Translates functional specifications into technical designs, flow charts, and mapping documents. Develop ETL Solutions using SAP Data Services, PL/SQL. Perform Unit Testing, Segment Testing, Performance Testing and Support End to End testing. Deploy Code to Higher Environments. Develop Scripts to productionalize ETL jobs and automate repetitive tasks. Must live within reasonable commuting distance from Oakland, CA office and able to appear in office as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Experience in Relational Databases to include at least one of the following; Oracle, SQL Server, or Snowflake;
  2. Comprehension of entity relationship models to develop sophisticated queries, and update them to perform analyses according to business requirements;
  3. Indexing, querying and normalization;
  4. ETL tools such as Informatica or SAP Data Services;
  5. Scripting in at least one of the following: Shell scripting and/or Python;
  6. Data quality and Governance; and
  7. Job orchestration and scheduling and file transmissions utility/ method to develop end to end process.


QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science or related field and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related ETL Development/Data Engineering role.

Base Pay Information

The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity. $170,955 - $175,955
